Odour Control Design

AOMC design program

AOMC Pty Ltd has developed a suite of design programs for which we are able to design:

  • BioFilters with organic media
  • BioTrickling Filters with Plastic or Ceramic Media
  • Activated Carbon Systems
  • Extraction ductwork and Air network designs
  • Wet Chemical scrubbers

The capabilities extend to review and assessment of existing odour control systems and the specification of suitable media and materials. This knowledge has been used to develop treatment systems for variety of different industries including municipal wastewater, food processing and refinery waste.

Foul Air Collection

Corrosion Technology Covers

AOMC Pty Ltd has worked with key manufactures in Australia and overseas to improve the reliability and effectiveness of covers. Critical to the performance of any cover system is the ability of the cover in combination with the air extraction to maintain underside vacuum.

90% of cover systems are not successful in their target in capturing 99% of open face odour as there is a mismatch between the extraction capacity of the Odour Control System and the degree of sealing that is achieved between cover to cover and cover to interface.

Often early involvement in the design process avoids generating problem areas like pipe penetrations and inadequate sealing arrangements in covers.

AOMC Ventilation Design Program

AOMC ventilation design program

AOMC Pty Ltd has developed special tools to allow rapid design of air extraction networks for complex sites.

The software determines the optimum duct size, identifies problem designs whereby a single line located from the extraction source causes difficulty in balancing, calculates overall system pressure drop as well as determine the appropriate damper position for air flow balancing.

System Troubleshooting

Air Washer Design for Fatty Aerosol removal

AOMC Pty Ltd has many years of experience in troubleshooting temperamental systems. The most common problems encountered relates to inadequate air extraction, the presence of dust and fat aerosols and condensate carryover across into the odour control system.

AOMC Pty Ltd has been engaged on projects to identify these types of problems and to build specialist equipment to adequately deal with these types of contaminants.
